Three Bolivians were arrested in Wood County, in Texas (USA) on Saturday, February 25, according to the report of the Sheriff’s Office of that county, published on Facebook and disseminated by various American media.
The Bolivians were arrested on the charge of marijuana possession of over 50 pounds (22.6 kilos) and less than 2,000 pounds (907 kilos), charge that is considered a first degree felony. Oscar M., Mirizabel M., and Camila M. are the Bolivians arrested; Along with them, the owner of the house, Gilbert M.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office report indicates that they located and seized approximately 600 pounds of marijuanaequivalent to 272 kilos.
Two days earlier, officers from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, along with officers from the Criminal Investigations Division, executed a search warrant near the Lake Quitman area, where they found a large marijuana cropaccording to the report of that unit.

“Approximately 1,000 pounds were seized (453.5 kilos) of marijuana that had been partially harvested. While executing the order, the officers arrested two Russian citizens at the scene. One had just crossed the border from Mexico a few weeks before flying to Colombia,” the report states.
On that day, a total of four people of Russian nationality were arrested, with the same charges as the Bolivians. The bail set for each of those arrested is $750,000according to CBS.
