Three arrested involved in attacks in Maracaibo

The Public Ministry (MP) arrested three people involved in one of the terrorist attacks that occurred recently against commercial establishments in Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia, reported the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.

In statements offered this Monday during a press conference, the Attorney General indicated that most of those involved in these terrorist attacks have already been identified.

In this sense, he said that the three citizens arrested They are: Delvis González Paz, Jeffri Bruges Ávila, Zulia police officer, and Jhon Herrera Rubio, and they were the ones who participated in the attack on Samba supermarketcarried out on February 18 due to the refusal of its owners to pay for the so-called “vaccine”.

“These criminals were presented on Saturday before the courts of Zulia and declined to Caracas for being a case of terrorism,” he added.

He highlighted that after these first events, a pamphlet was left at the site with a telephone number signed by alias El Caracas, who claimed responsibility for the act.

Investigations in Maracaibo advance

In this sense, Saab stressed that the Public Ministry is carrying out investigations into the case that occurred in Maracaibo, where extortion gangs that charge for the so-called vaccines carry out armed attacks that intend to sow terror in the population.

These actions carried out by these groups that “attacked a commercial establishment, we are not going to allow it. The MP is acting, we have designated the cicpc and the Conas to investigate these facts. We will not accept these criminal phenomena,” Saab stressed.

So far, the Public Ministry has arrested 188 members of a total of 13 Organized Crime Structured Groups (Gedo), dedicated to extortion, said Attorney General Tarek William Saab.

Saab mentioned that among the detainees are members of: El Tren de Aragua, the El Koki gang, the Wilexis gang, the El Picure gang, among others.

He also added that 315 arrest warrants have been issued, 250 Interpol red alerts have been requested and 79 of these criminals have been convicted.

To put an end to these criminal phenomena, the Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, requested the collaboration of all the authorities, where they have requested the red alerts.

The call of the Attorney General is to the authorities of Colombia and all the institutions in the world, so that they facilitate the arrest warrants for red alert issued from Venezuela, to any criminal and that they are sent to the country for their due judicial and criminal process.

“We hope to put everyone involved behind these attacks on humble people for revenge behind bars. Count on the people of Venezuela with the Public Ministry and all the judicial authorities,” he emphasized.

Likewise, Saab added that permanent contacts have been maintained with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to clarify these facts and prevent this type of crime from occurring again on Venezuelan soil.
