Three American tourists found dead in house rented on Airbnb in Mexico

Three young American tourists who traveled to Mexico City to commemorate the Day of the Dead were found dead in a house they rented through Airbnb, in a fact that keeps the authorities in suspense trying to solve the mysterious case.

The bodies of Jordan Marshall, Kandace Florence and Courtez Hall were found a few days ago in a rented house in Mexico City and, according to statements by Kandace Florence’s boyfriend to Virginia television WAVYThey spoke on the phone on the night of October 30, when she “began to get sick.”

He added that later they lost communication and could no longer contact her, so he contacted the owner of the house to verify if the three were okay and that is how the authorities arrived at the scene and found them dead.

However, according to La Silla Rota, on the morning of October 30, Kandace Florence sent messages of anguish to her boyfriend telling him that she did not feel well, that she was extremely tired, that she had vomited and felt the foreign body.

“I feel like I’m drugged,” the young woman told her boyfriend, hours after they were in a bar in Mexico City with her two other friends.

So far the causes of death of the three young people are unknown.

“We can confirm the death of three US citizens in Mexico. We are closely following the investigation of the local authorities into the cause of death. We stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance,” the US Embassy in Mexico said in a statement quoted by WAVY.

“Out of respect for the families’ privacy, we have nothing further to add at this time,” the diplomatic office added.

Marshal and Florence were 28 years old and had been friends since high school in Virginia, while Hall was acquainted with Marshal and they both lived in New Orleans.

Florence, who would turn 29 next Thursday, started a candle business in 2020 called Glo Through It and her products were sold in a store in Virginia Beach, according to the Univisión network.
