Those who accessed evidence of the Astesiano case will be summoned to testify

The prosecutor, Gabriel Fossati, responsible for the investigation into the case of the former Custodian of the president, Alejandro Astesiano, decided to summon all those people who had contact with the evidence of the case to testify before the police headquarters to determine the origin of the leak of the information about it.

According to what is indicated by underlinedunderlined and confirmed to The R newspaper by the Prosecutor’s Office, Fossati assigned the investigation into this leak to the Complex Crimes department of the Police. “Complex Crimes will do a thorough investigation and report on it. To do this, he will summon these people as witnesses,” said the source.

The interrogations will not be given at the prosecutor’s office but at the police. “If the prosecutor understands that the person can change his (procedural) quality to that of the investigated, she will summon him to the Prosecutor’s Office with the corresponding guarantees.”

The leaks

It should be noted that the investigation around Astesiano follows several lines. On the one hand, there is his involvement in a criminal organization dedicated to the falsification of public documents, on the other hand, the alleged influence peddling with police authorities and possible espionage on legislators from the Broad Front.

This new investigation aims to determine how the leaks to the press of the chats of Astesiano’s conversations occurred, messages that are the subject of the main cause.
