During 2025, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo traveled more than 104 thousand kilometers throughout the national territory during her work tours.

In the morning, he highlighted that during his trips there were inaugurations or the start of construction of hospitals and infrastructure works, and provision of support to vulnerable groups, among other activities.

He indicated that he traveled by air over 84,407 kilometers, and by land he traveled 19,965.

“We are going to do a mathematical exercise,” he launched, while asking his collaborators to tell him the size of the diameter of the Earth.

Quickly, his team looked for the data and, without thinking about it, they informed him that it was about “12,700 kilometers” (although that figure corresponds to the diameter of the equator, not the circumference of the earth).

That setback led the president to point out: “we circled the Earth eight times this year.”

Later, a reporter corrected the report to the presidential team, specifying that the circumference of the Earth is just over 40 thousand kilometers, so the distance traveled by the president in her visits to the entire national territory this year would correspond to 2.6 laps.

Sheinbaum detailed that on his tours throughout 2025 he visited Aguascalientes twice, Baja California three times and the same number Baja California Sur. He traveled to Campeche five times, four to Chiapas and three to Chihuahua. In Mexico City it had 22 events.

He added that he was in Coahuila twice, four in Colima and two in Durango; In the state of Mexico it led 10 activities, three in Guanajuato, six in Guerrero and 10 in Hidalgo.

He went to Jalisco three times, four to Michoacán, six to Morelos, four to Nayarit, three to Nuevo León, five to Oaxaca, nine to Puebla, six to Querétaro, six to Quintana Roo, four to San Luis Potosí, three to Sinaloa, three to Sonora, four to Tabasco, three to Tamaulipas, three to Tlaxcala, 10 to Veracruz, four to Yucatán and three to Zacatecas.

A central part of the tours, he said, is direct attention to people. “We always listen to people, from the events we have to on the road.”

He asked the Director of Citizen Services of the Presidency, Adriana Contreras – always present in the morning – to report how many requests have been received since the beginning of the administration, to which the official indicated that as of yesterday there were 144 thousand, both in the tours and in the service module in the National Palace.
