This weekend marks the 120 days of preventive detention in the Chonchocoro prison that a precautionary judge ruled against the Governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho. However, a new precautionary hearing is scheduled for this Wednesday in which he will be tried for new crimes.
Efraín Suárez, Management Advisor to the Government of Santa Cruz, informed EL DEBER Radio that the deadline for preventive detention of Luis Fernando Camacho in Chonchocoro expires on the weekend.
“The 120 days of preventive detention in his precautionary measure on December 29 will be completed this weekend. But tomorrow (Wednesday) there is a precautionary measure for the expansion of new crimes, for the Coup I case”explained Suárez, in time to indicate that this is only intended to keep Camacho kidnapped in Chonchocoro.
“As the term of his preventive detention is already expiring, now he is accused of financing terrorism and seducing troops. They are not random coincidences with the cases of the Hotel Las Américas. These respond to a Castro Chavista response,” said the adviser.
For Suárez, it is practically foreseeable, not to say that it is almost a fact, that they extend the preventive detention with the aim of keeping the governor of Santa Cruz kidnapped.
Regarding the precautionary hearing on the fire truck that was suspended, the new date and time is still unknown. “We are waiting for a new hearing date to be set,” he said.
