This week the data recovery process for the Census concludes

Until this Thursday, November 24, the data recovery work is planned to be carried out within the framework of the 2022 Census and during this weekend military personnel contributed strongly to the task.

This Sunday, military personnel from the Navy continued data recovery tasks in the Itapytapunta, San Antonio and Rodríguez de Francia neighborhoods of Asunción, while cadets from the Capiatá Military Academy carried out recovery work in Ypané neighborhoods. The works covered other districts of Central.

On the other hand, on Saturday, the team of the National Institute of Statistics developed an intense day in the last areas that needed to be covered in the cities of San Lorenzo, Capiatá and Ciudad del Este. In this last case, troops from the Ciudad del Este Army base also provided valuable help in the Ciudad Nueva neighborhood, reported the INE.

“This weekend we intend to complete a large part of this challenge called the National Population and Housing Census and once again the Armed Forces of the Nation join this historic challenge,” said the director of the INE, Iván Ojeda, thanking the collaboration.

“We are going to go until November 24 with this recovery process, so that all Paraguayans exercise the right to register. And in parallel, the indigenous census and the rural census continue to be developed,” said Ojeda.

Census coverage in urban areas had reached 94% last Friday, significantly improving the figures that had reached 84% on November 9, the day established for the national census.
