This Wednesday they commemorate the Day of the Judiciary with various activities

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Justice will commemorate this Wednesday, January 7, the Day of the Judiciary, in accordance with the provisions of the paragraph of article 40 of Law number 327-98 on the Judicial Career.

The commemorative events begin at 8:30 in the morning with a Solemn Hearing in the August Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, in which the president of that high court, Henry Molina, in the presence of President Luis Abinader, will give a speech to inform the nation of the achievements of the Dominican justice system over almost 7 years of administration, as well as the challenges in the future.

Henry Molina will be accompanied by the judges of the Plenary Session of the high court, advisors of the Judicial Branch, magistrates, representatives of the Public Ministry, judicial officials, religious dignitaries, legislators, diplomats, members of the military corps and guests from the legal community and civil society.

Later, at 10:30 in the morning, a thanksgiving Eucharist will be celebrated in the Primate Cathedral of America.

The day will conclude at 11:30 in the morning with a floral offering at the Altar of the Homeland, in honor of the founding fathers of the Dominican nation, in the Independence Park of this capital.

The solemn hearing will be broadcast live on the Judiciary’s YouTube channel and institutional social networks to facilitate citizens’ monitoring of the proceedings.

The commemorative events will take place simultaneously in the 11 judicial departments of the country, including the National District, Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macorís, La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata, San Francisco de Macorís, Montecristi, San Cristóbal, San Juan de la Maguana and Barahona.
