Este miércoles feligresía se congrega en Basílica Santa Teresa para rendir tributo al Nazareno

This Wednesday the parishioners congregate in Basilica Santa Teresa to pay tribute to the Nazarene

The parishioners gather this Wednesday very early in the Basilica of Santa Teresa to pay tribute to the Nazarene of San Pablo where seven Eucharistic celebrations will take place.

Unlike the years 2020 and 2021, this April 13 the temple reopened its doors for the devotees of the miraculous invocation, in the reunion with its faithful.

The parish secretary and general coordinator of the Brotherhood of the Santa Teresa Basilica, Abraham Núñez, explained that the biosecurity measures will be fully complied with in the ecclesiastical enclosure.

“This year, everything is going to be more restricted due to the pandemic, we cannot abuse it. The masses will be held with an interval of approximately two hours so that people can vacate the temple and proceed to disinfect the spaces », he detailed.

Núñez indicated that the capacity in each celebration will be limited and to have a better control of the number of attendees, the benches will be placed. In this way, parishioners will be able to be seated in a way to preserve all biosecurity and social distancing measures, refers to the AVN portal.

For the afternoon hours, the procession of the Nazarene is scheduled from the corner of Santa Teresa, Cruz Verde, Velázquez, Cipreses, Miracielos, with a tour of Lecuna Avenue towards the corners of Reducto, Miranda, San Pablo, Municipal and La Palma, for later return to the Basilica of Santa Teresa.
