The Biennial of the Poster Bolivia BICeBéthe Municipal Secretary of Culture and Tourism of Santa Cruz and the Patiño Foundation organize the Launch of the BICeBé 2023 International Poster Call, which will take place this Wednesday, December 14, at 8:00 p.m., at the Patiño Santa Cruz Foundation, located at Calle Independencia # 89, esq. Suarez de Figueroa.
BiCeBé is one of the most important graphic design, communication and visual arts events in the country, which takes place every two years, starting its activities with an International Call for Poster Design.
This call, which gives rise to the Main Exhibition of the biennialhas grown over time with inspiring content in its cultural, social and unprecedented themes, counting in its latest version with 11,521 registered works from 91 countries around the world. However, the biennial is not confined solely to the design of the poster.
On the occasion they will be present Susana Machicao, Director of the Biennial; Sarah Mansilla, Secretary of Culture and Tourism; Verónica Agreda, Unifranz National Rector; Oscar Ortiz, Rector UCB; Block 1 Art Space.
This new version of the biennial presents six categories in competition. Designers, visual artists, and interested parties may send their previously published posters in the cultural, social, advertising and design-in-motion categories, as well as participating in the new category with the theme Earth Overdraft Day and the new category for students: “Technology and mental health”.
The selection of the best posters received will be part of the main exhibition BICeBé 2023 and they will pass the face-to-face stage of the invited jury members: Art Chantry. USA; Agnieszka Ziemiszewska. Poland; Javier Jaen. Spain; Claudia Schramke. Germany; Lawrence Shakespeare. Argentina; Catherine Estrada. Columbia/Spain; and Christopher Rojas Bolivia/Chile.
Design students may participateo, graphic designers, plastic artists, photographers and graphic producers in general, regardless of age or nationality, with printed or moving image postersexcept for Category D and Category F, which must be unpublished posters.
