The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, announced that this Wednesday the eighth batch with 72,000 doses of pediatric vaccines from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, for children between 5 and 11 years old, arrived at the Cargo Terminal of the Tocumen International Airport.

These vaccines seek to reinforce the National Vaccination Plan executed by the National Government.

¨Today 72,000 new Pfizer pediatric doses arrived to continue vaccination in children from 5 to 11 years old. It is extremely important that our children are vaccinated for the face-to-face return to classes, their health is paramount, let’s take care of our loved ones, “said the president through his Twitter account.

Since the arrival of the first batch of vaccines, last January, Panama has received a total of 504,000 doses.

Pediatric vaccination for children from 5 to 11 years old and the placement of booster doses from the age of 16 continues this Wednesday and will last until Friday in various circuits of the country.
