SANTO DOMINGO.-“Oh my daughter, I see you strange and pale, tell me what you have, why did you go to the beach at night with that bad flu that you have and she told me: mommy I’m fine”, this was the last conversation between Esmeralda Richiez, the teenager who was found dead in the bathroom of her residence in Higüey, and her mother Isabel Martínez.
When recounting the tragic night her 16-year-old daughter died, the woman explained that her daughter Esmeralda He asked permission to go out at 8:00 at night with three friends and their teacher John Kelly Martínez, main suspect in the case.
“My daughter told me mommy I’m coming now, I’m coming at once, I talked to him (the teacher) and he told him: take care of my daughter, I’m going to let her out because it’s with you,” said Isabel.

The lady said that “she was innocent that my daughter was with that man, at 11:00 PM I called her and told her my daughter come soon that I’m waiting for you, and she told me I’m coming mommy and she came right away . Esmeralda’s mother added that she insisted on asking her daughter what had happened to her and she admitted that she had had a little alcohol.
“I asked the friend if they had given me drugs because she came so pale and the only thing I thought was that they had given me drugs,” the mother said.

The Public Ministry arrested Professor John Kelly Martínez (Yonqueli), the main suspect in the death of the adolescent, whose lifeless body was found yesterday Monday in the bathroom of his residence in the Vista Alegre community, in the municipal district of La Otra Banda, in the municipality in Higuey.
The head prosecutor of La Altagracia, Mercedes Santana, explained that the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) performs an autopsy on the young woman’s body to determine the causes of death.
Regarding the case, the investigation indicates that on the night of February 12, the adolescent left the home where she lives with her parents in Vista Alegre in the company of the teacher, as well as a cousin of his (adult) and three other underage students.
She says that, upon returning home, around 12:00 at night, the young woman arrived pale and bleeding, for which reason Martínez stayed for a few minutes offering help and was with her in the room.
It indicates that when the parents knocked on the bedroom door, they realized that the adolescent had died.
