The security authorities announced this Tuesday the conclusion of the “Genesis 2022” operation and the launch of the “Alfil” operation, with the aim of continuing to combat common crime and criminal organizations that operate throughout the country.
The Minister of Public Security, Juan Manuel Pino, explained that throughout the 4 months (January 7-Monday April 18) of the “Genesis” operation, 6,821 packages of drugs were seized, B/ 275,207.96 in cash, from the streets 822 firearms, 31,590 ammunition and the recovery of 229 vehicles.
He added that 16,663 people were captured: 10,000 per trade; 1,498 for flagrante delicto, 934 for drug trafficking and 76 for drug trafficking.
The head of Security reiterated that with the start of Operation Alfil, it will seek to repress the actions of crime and drug trafficking. This operation will last four months with the participation of the security forces.
