“They arrived in critical conditions where they were immediately treated by doctors, they took the lady to intensive care where she still remains,” said the director of the Luis Morillo King Hospital, Haide Margarita Paulino Marte.
While Castaños “unfortunately arrived with respiratory failure, he was assisted by the doctors who were on duty that night, resuscitation was performed but he died immediately upon arrival,” he added.
The girls’ father said that Karina’s current partner “apparently had everything planned.”
“He convinced her to take him to the airport, she didn’t want to, they said they were going to look for a cousin and he never showed up,” she said.
The authorities continue to investigate the incident.
