The Major Leagues has revealed the list of players during a special program broadcast by MLBNetworkprior to the start of the regular season.
In the list of pitchers are: Bryan Abreu, Sandy Alcántara, Diego Castillo, Roansy Contreras, Johnny Cueto, Camilo Doval, Jarlin Arcía, Luis García, Yimi García, Cristian Javier, José Leclerc, Rafael Montero, Héctor Neris, Gregory Soto.
Ronel Blanco, Genesis Cabrera, Enyel de los Santo, Carlos Estevez, Joel Payamps and César Valdez are in the “designated pool”.

The World Classic
The World Baseball Classic World Baseball Classic) is the main official international tournament of baseballsanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and created by the Major League Baseball (MLB), the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) which brings together the world’s national teams.
Previously, it lived with Olympic baseball (until 2008 and reintroduced into the Olympic program in 2020) and the baseball world cup (until 2011) as tournaments of the International Baseball Federation, but both tournaments have been called off in favor of the World Baseball Classic. Therefore, it is from the 2013 edition that the winner of the event is recognized as the world champion.
This year’s tournament has been expanded from 16 to 20 teams, divided into four groups of five teams each. Each team will play the others in their group once. The top two teams from each group at the end of this round will advance to an eight-team single-elimination stage. This will culminate in the championship game on March 21.
