This is the presentation for the first debate of the PND in Congress

After almost a month of work (they started on February 21) and 12 hours a day invested in the last 15 days, the National government announced the presentation for the first debate to be held at the Congress on the National Development Plan (PND) 2022-2026.

In the document, which was released this holiday Monday, March 20, 2023, they worked 40 congressmen from the economic commissions responsible for studying the project, as well as the director of the National Planning Department (DNP), Jorge Iván González; he Minister of Finance, Antonio Ocampo, and the other ministers of the portfolios that make up the Government.

This has been a National Development Plan closely articulated with the Ministry of Finance. The teams of both portfolios carefully watch and listen to each of the proposals made by the senators and representatives. We have had collaborations and mutual discussions that have enriched this final document that we present”, stressed González, director of the DNP.

And I add: “In these long days, the congressmen understood the importance of not discussing projects by departments, of not departmentalizing, but thinking of great initiatives that benefit the entire country and promote economic development in general. This is a brutal change that transforms the way we should begin to plan for the future.”.

Starting this Tuesday, March 21, the vote will be held at the National Capitol for the first debate of the PND. The discussion will start at 8 am
