A visionary project
Just five days after playing the final of the 2024 Copa América, Cuadrado, Mina and Lerma met in Guatapé to finalize the details of their new investment.
The shopping centre, which will bear the name of the municipality and will be located one block from the main park, represents a significant investment of 40 million euros and is expected to open its doors in May 2025.
The official presentation
On the morning of Friday, July 19, Cuadrado came down to the stage with his usual charisma, wearing an impeccable white shirt, black jeans and matching formal tennis shoes.
At his side, Yerry Mina, with his imposing height and similar attire, except for the Jordan-style sneakers, greeted the press with a mixture of joy and shy modesty.
Lerma, who also shared his companions’ style, wore white shoes and joined as a capital partner to complete the necessary investment.
Commitment to the Future
Cuadrado, Mina and Lerma have proven to be more than just elite athletes. They have understood that a footballer’s career is ephemeral and have decided to invest in their future and in the development of their country. According to Cuadrado, “Guatapé is a gold mine that has not yet been fully exploited.” He also expressed his desire to return to live in Colombia and finish his sports career at DIM.
Community impact
The new shopping centre promises to be an important economic driver for Guatapé, attracting tourists and generating local employment. This project not only reflects the entrepreneurial vision of these footballers, but also their commitment to sustainable development and the well-being of their community.
With this initiative, Cuadrado, Mina and Lerma demonstrate that they are prepared to succeed both on and off the field, consolidating themselves as role models for future generations.
