After a month of reopening of the border between Colombia and Venezuela (September 26), air transport between the two countries would finally have a ‘clear runway’.
And it is that Armando Benedetti, the Colombian ambassador on Venezuelan soil, informed, this Friday, October 21, that, according to what the Government of the neighboring country informed him, the Laser airline (Venezuelan) it was “enabled“to make routes between both nations.
The official added that air transport with Laser will be reactivated with seven weekly frequencies and two routes will be covered: Caracas – Bogota and Maracaibo – Bogota.
The Venezuelan airline Laser is authorized to fly the route Caracas – Bogotá and Maracaibo – Bogotá. Air transport is activated. Seven weekly frequencies, the Venezuelan government informs us.

It is worth remembering that, in 2019, Laser had already received permits to fly between Venezuela and Colombia, but, with the arrival of the covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, it was not possible to start operations.
The news comes after a few weeks in which there was no clarity about the reestablishment of air operations between Colombia and Venezuela, which, as was mentioned before the reopening, would begin on September 26.
