The National Institute of Roads (Invías) announced this Saturday the toll rates that will govern for 2022, after making the adjustment of 5.62%, percentage of the annual inflation figure for 2021 on which the update is made.
(New year, new prices: the increases that come in 2022).
These prices will take effect from this Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the 34 toll stations that Invías is in charge of at this time.
In this regard, the Technical and Structuring Director of Invías, Guillermo Toro Acuña, expressed the important achievements made the previous year in terms of road infrastructure, thanks to the resources collected from tolls.
(Leases, tolls and the UVR, on the rise due to the effect of inflation).
“During 2021, with this collection, added to the investment of the national government for the modernization of the road infrastructure, the Institute managed to carry out the rehabilitation of 3,090 km of primary roads, the construction and improvement of 298 km of new second lanes and managed to complete and deliver the Central Cordillera Crossing, the most important engineering work in the country. And this year, the entity will continue to make great efforts to obtain new sources of financing that guarantee the resources for the execution of the projects”.
It should be noted that within the large commitments made by the entity to provide security on the roads to travelers and users, there are also ambulance, tow truck and workshop car services that are currently in nine national corridors: Medellín – Bogotá; Medellin – Atlantic Coast; road network of Valle del Cauca, Risaralda – Valle del Cauca; Honda-Villeta; North Central Trunk (Zipaquirá – San Alberto); Calarca – Cajamarca; Ruta del Sol II and Buga – Buenaventura (see details in the PDF).
Currently, the National Highway Institute is in charge of 34 toll stations, distributed in 15 departments.
