This tariff adjustment seeks to guarantee the system sustainabilityconsidering factors such as Consumer Price Index (CPI)he minimum wage and the transportation subsidy.
“The increase of close to 6% is less than the increase in the minimum wage and is aligned with the CPI, to minimize the impact on users’ pockets,” explained Libardo García Guerrero, director of the AMB.
The Metropolitan Area of Barranquilla has authorized the new rates for the bus transportation service in the city.

The new tariff scheme includes an additional component of $200 for the strengthening of the Transmetro and the renewal of your fleet.
“The new scheme includes a tariff component of $200 to improve the quality and sustainability of the Transmetro, prioritizing the renewal of the fleet. This process will continue until 100% of the vehicles are renewed in 2025,” reported the AMB.
