This August 28, the traditional Procession of the Flag took place in Tacna. Dozens of women who take turns carry the emblem from Plaza 28 de Agosto to the Civic Center of the city where it is finally hoisted. During his tour he receives signs of joy and deep patriotic sentiment from the citizens who crowd the streets to wait for him to pass.
