During the ordinary session this Tuesday, the National Assembly (AN) ratified the appointment of the directives of the permanent commissions for the 2023-2024 legislative period, with the exception of the Comprehensive Social Development Commission, whose 2022 president is now the first Vice President of the Legislature.
The president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, read the list of the members of these committee directives, expressing his satisfaction with the work carried out by the deputies in charge of the parliamentary instances, reports a press release from the AN.
Here we present the composition of the board of directors of the different commissions:
Permanent Commission of Internal Policy: will continue to be chaired by Deputy Pedro Carreño (PSUV/Delta Amacuro), in the first vice-presidency by Deputy Julio García (PSUV/Táchira) and in the second vice-presidency by Deputy María Gabriela Vega (PSUV/La Guaira).
Committee on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration: Deputy Timoteo Zambrano (AD/Nacional) was ratified as president, Deputy Ilenia Medina (PPT/National) in the first vice-presidency, and Deputy Roy Daza (PSUV/Aragua) in the second vice-presidency.
Ecosocialism Commission: Deputy Ricardo Molina (PSUV/Aragua) will be in charge of the presidency, Deputy Luis Parra (PV/National) in the first vice-presidency, and Deputy Nancy Ascencio Estanga (PSUV/Bolívar) in the second vice-presidency.
Comptroller Commission: It will continue to be chaired by Deputy Alexis Rodríguez Cabello (PSUV/Bolívar), in the first vice-presidency by Deputy José Brito (PV/Anzoátegui), and in the second vice-presidency by Winston Vallenilla (PSUV/Miranda).
Commission of Economy, Finance and National Development: The president is deputy Jesús Faría (PSUV/Nacional), the first vice-president is deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra (PSUV/La Guaira), and the second vice-president is deputy Oscar Ronderos (AD/Nueva Esparta).
Energy and Petroleum Commission: It will be chaired by deputy Ángel Rodríguez (PSUV/Anzoátegui), in the first vice-presidency by deputy Rodolfo Sanz (PSUV/Miranda), and in the second vice-presidency by deputy Javier Bertucci (EC/Nacional).
National Security and Defense Commission: It will continue to be chaired by Deputy Jesús Suárez Chourio (PSUV/Apure), in the first vice-presidency by Deputy Gloria Castillo de Durán (PSUV/Monagas), and in the second vice-presidency by Deputy Frang Morales (PSUV/Guárico).
Comprehensive Social Development Commission: It will be chaired by Deputy Rodolfo Crespo (PSUV/Miranda), in the first vice-presidency the Deputy Luz Coromoto Chacón (PSUV/National), and in the second vice-presidency Anyelith Tamayo (AD/National)
Commune Development Commission: Deputy Blanca Eekhout (PSUV/Miranda) will continue in the presidency, Deputy Carlos Mogollón (PSUV/Capital Dtto.) was appointed as the first vice-presidency, and Deputy Juan Carlos Sierra (PSUV/Lara) was appointed as the second vice-presidency.
Indigenous Peoples Commission: Deputy Nicia Maldonado (PSUV/Nacional) will be president, the first vice president is Deputy Francisco Martínez (PSUV/Delta Amacuro), and the second vice president is Deputy Nixon Maniglia Véliz (AD/ Amazonas).
Popular Power and Communication Commission: The deputy Juan Carlos Alemán (PSUV/DC) continues in the presidency, in the first vice-presidency the deputy Tania Díaz (PSUV/Nacional), and in the second vice-presidency the deputy María Carolina Chávez (PSUV/Nueva Esparta).
Education, Health, Science, Technology and Innovation Commission: It will continue to be chaired by deputy Ricardo Sánchez (AC/Nacional), in the first vice-presidency by deputy José Villarroel (PSUV/Nacional), and in the second vice-presidency by deputy Rubén Limas (AD/Capital Dtto.).
Culture and Recreation Commission: The deputy Cristóbal Jiménez (PSUV/Nacional) was ratified in the presidency, in the first vice-presidency the deputy Sol Elena Mussett de Primera (PSUV/Nacional), and in the second vice-presidency the deputy Roberto García Messutti (MSV/Nacional).
Commission for Families, Freedom of Religion and Cults: Deputy Asia Villegas Poljak (PSUV/National) was ratified in the presidency, Deputy Leonardo Montezuma (PSUV/Miranda) in the first vice-presidency, and Deputy Alfonso Campos (EC/National) in the second vice-presidency.
Administration and Services Commission: It will be chaired by Deputy Willian Gil (PSUV/Lara), in the first vice-presidency by Deputy Elio Serrano (PSUV/Miranda), and in the second vice-presidency by Deputy Luis Eduardo Martínez (AD/Aragua).
