Starting this Monday, August 5, the new rotation of the peak and plaque in Medellín and nine other municipalities in the metropolitan area. The measure seeks relieve traffic congestion and improve mobilityaffecting thousands of drivers who will have to adjust their daily routines.
The established schedule will be from Monday to Friday, between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm, and will apply to all urban roads in the city, with exceptions.

Among the vehicles exempt from the measure are cargo vehicles, public transport, special services, accredited media and those that operate with clean technologies, such as electric, hybrid or gas engines.
The authorities have warned that drivers who fail to comply with the regulations will face economic sanctions of up to $650,000, equivalent to 15 current legal daily minimum wages. With this measure, it is expected to encourage respect for the restrictions and contribute to more orderly and efficient traffic.
