This Saturday the closing ceremony of the Odesur Games was held, in which a symbolic but well-deserved gold medal was awarded to Tiríka, the ASU 2022 mascot.
After the final parade of the delegations participating in this historic sports fair, there was room at the closing ceremony to reward the mascot of the Games, without a doubt the ultimate feeling in these two intense weeks.
Sports Minister Diego Galeano Harrison explained that Tiríka “represents the union of all Paraguayans and the continentThat’s why he deserves the gold medal.”

Likewise, in the closing ceremony of the competition they were recognized by Camilo Pérez López Moreira volunteers and the publicwhich overflowed the facilities at each event and at each of the venues.
“How I love you, Paraguay”, expressed Pérez, President of Odesur and the National Olympic Committee.

The standard-bearer for Paraguay this Saturday was Veronica Cepede Roygwho ended his professional tennis career with a gold medal (mixed doubles with Daniel Vallejo) and a silver medal (in singles).
