This is how the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce promotes youth employability

On October 22, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) will hold the eleventh version of the Campus of Shared Value and Multiactor Alliances, a space that connects companies, universities and young people in the co-creation of sustainable solutions to strengthen innovation, employability and social transformation in Bogotá–Region.

The event will take place at the ÁGORA Bogotá Convention Center, and has established itself as one of the most relevant venues within the Shared Value Network led by the CCB, where Initiatives that promote sustainability, the training of young talent and the coordination of efforts between the public and private sectors converge.

Since its creation, the Shared Value Campus has demonstrated that collaboration is a powerful tool to drive development. In its 2024 version, it brought together more than 700 attendees, including businessmen, students and representatives of social organizations.

This year, the meeting will have a record participation of 433 young people from 16 universities, who since August have been working on solving four business challenges proposed by Scotiabank Colpatria, Bancamía, Casa Luker and Banco de Bogotá. These challenges are focused on key issues for sustainable development: employability, social innovation and environmental sustainability.

During the day, Participants will be able to enjoy academic panels, co-creation spaces and an intergenerational meeting that will bring together business leaders and young talentswith the purpose of generating an inspiring dialogue about the future of work and the construction of shared value.

Within the framework of the Campus, the CCB will hold the Labor Connection Fair, an initiative especially aimed at young high school students, university students and recent graduates looking for their first work experience or a professional internship.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 22, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, on the 3rd floor of the ÁGORA Bogotá, and will feature with the participation of 17 companies belonging to sectors such as finance, technology, consulting, recreation and services. In total, more than 700 job and internship vacancies will be offered.

Among the participating companies, the following stand out: Wom, Permoda and Bancamía, along with others that are part of the business ecosystem committed to labor inclusion.

Furthermore, thanks to a strategic alliance with the Public Employment Service, The Fair will have labor intermediation agencies that will provide personalized guidance to attendees on how to strengthen their professional profiles, improve their resume and access available opportunities.

With the 2025 edition of the Shared Value Campusthe Bogotá Chamber of Commerce says that it reaffirms its role as an articulator of public-private alliances and its commitment with the construction of a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable city.

Through these types of initiatives, the CCB promotes the training of a new generation of professionals and entrepreneurs who are not only looking for a job, but who wish to generate impact and contribute to a development model based on shared value, where business prosperity and social well-being strengthen each other.
