For a liter of Magna gasoline you will be paying 5.9708 pesos per liter – a discount of 3.31% – while for a liter of Premium the IEPS rate will be 5.2146 pesos; for diesel it will be 6.7865 pesos, reported the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP).
Why do they apply subsidies?
These discounts on IEPS rates on fuels are intended to mitigate the impact of the increase in the price of oil and its derivatives in the United States, which is the country from which Mexico buys the most hydrocarbons.
Every Friday, the Treasury publishes in the Official Gazette of the Federal Government the percentages and amounts in pesos and cents that the IEPS discount will have.

According to Petrointelligence.com, the average price of Magna gasoline nationwide is 24,095 pesos per liter, Premium 25,603 pesos, and diesel 25,624 pesos per liter.
