Security is cautious with those who approach the residence of the President of the Republic, Louis Abinader. Only members of the press can approach to capture the president’s exit to the National Congress.
Abinader lives in the Julia sector of the National District, specifically on Dr. Núñez and Domínguez streets. Surveillance of the residence extends to Abraham Lincoln Avenue, where agents of the Specialized Presidential Security Corps (Cusep) are attentive to those who circulate in the area.
Before reaching the street that leads to the head of state’s house from Abraham Lincoln Avenue, there is a small demonstration at the intersection with Sarasota Avenue, where people with small flags wave their hands to the music.
Louis Abinader will go to the National Congress to render accounts to the people about the actions of his government in the last year. It will be the second time that Abinader has stood before the National Assembly to explain what he has done.
Within the framework of the celebration of the independence of the Dominican Republic, every February 27, the president who holds power is accountable for his management before the country, as established in article 114 of the Constitution.
It is planned that Louis Abinader leave around 9:50 this Sunday morning to the National Congress.
