“Recoverable non-working day is declared in the area of the city of Cusco for the public sector, on the occasion of the blessing of the Lord of the Earthquakes” it is read verbatim in the first article of the aforementioned decree.

It also indicates that the hours not worked may be compensated in later days by the workers and that to take the day off they must first coordinate with their respective area managers.

This determination of the Regional Government of Cusco has caused antagonistic positions in the Cusco population, where some point out that it is a good option to receive the blessing of the image of Christ, while others point out that it is only a foolish measure in the midst of a process of economic reactivation.
