Just days after the sentence against the eight rugby players accused of the crime of Fernando Baez Sosaresidents of Zárate will hold a march this Friday to demand that the defendants be sentenced.
It should be remembered that the sentence for the defendants will be announced next Monday in the courts of Dolores, after concluding the argument stage in the trial for the crime of Fernando Baez Sosain which some of the rugbiers apologized and were sorry for having ended the life of the student.
Thus, Under the slogan “Against the impunity of rugby players”, citizens will meet from 8:00 p.m. in Hipólito Yrigoyen and Paseo de la Riberanext to the municipal offices, to demand that the rugbiers be sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime of Fernando Baez Sosa.
The residents of Zárate will also take advantage of the march to demand greater security in the city, since in the last two weeks there have been five murders, including a gendarme.
The victim was identified as First Corporal Andrés Claudio Rivero, 36, who was on his way to work at Squadron No. 7 in El Palomar. The event occurred between the streets of Spain and the collector of Route 9, where the body was found by a neighbor in the area.
Meanwhile, it is expected that, on Monday, judges Claudia Castro, Christian Rabaia and Emiliano Lázzari will announce the sentence and sentence for each of the rugbiers: this will depend on the level of responsibility that each of those involved in the crime had .
Ciro, Luciano and Lucas Pertossi, Máximo Thomsen, Matías Benicelli, Enzo Comelli, Ayrton Viollaz and Blas Cinalli are charged with the crime of “doubly aggravated homicide due to treachery and the premeditated cooperation of two or more people”, added to the crime of “minor injuries”.
