At 9:00 am this Friday, in the Accusatory Penal System of Plaza Agora, the hearing of guarantees was resumed for the 23 apprehended in “Operation Chivo” where there are members of the security forces involved in the contamination of drug containers. .

In this operation, 37 raids were carried out, with which they allowed the dismantling of a criminal organization that contaminated containers with drugs and the investigation was born at the request of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan), in which it was determined that some of its members were transporting substances illicit in favor of a criminal group and served as security in acts of trafficking.

Among those arrested are six units of the National Aeronaval Service, an official of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), two former Senan units and three port officials, among others.

The Chivo operation was developed in the provinces of Panama, West Panama, Veraguas, Chiriquí and Colón.

This hearing of guarantees, which began this Thursday, will legalize the detention of those arrested, charges will be filed and precautionary measures will be issued.
