He BHD Bank will carry out the third edition his BHD Tourism and Investment Forumunder the topic “Trends in tourism in the Caribbean. Beyond coastal tourism”as part of his stake in Fitur 2026, the international tourism fair that will be held from January 21 to 25 in Madrid, Spain.
This forum is the only Dominican event within the framework of Fitur that offers specialized content about the tourism sector.
Each year it brings together key industry players and is attended by the tourism minister, David Colladoas well as the president of the BHD Bank, Steven Puigreaffirming its relevance as a space for analysis and projection of Dominican tourism.
Herein third editionthe event will feature stake of highlights national and international experts.
Speakers include:
- Jacqueline Moravice minister of the Ministry of Tourism; Salim Arkuchvice president and general director for Latin America and the Caribbean of Expedia Group; Christopher ImbsenVice President of Policy at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC); Antonio Fungairino, Director of Development of Hyatt Inclusive Collection; and Alejandro Cambiaso, founder and president of the Dominican Association of Health Tourism.
Beyond sun and beach
He BHD Tourism and Investment Forum debuted in Fitur 2024 with the theme “Sustainable tourism. Current situation, perspective, mitigants and best practices”.
Subsequently, its second edition, made in Fitur 2025, addressed the opportunities of tourism economic ecosystem in the Dominican Republic, consolidating its role as a platform for strategic reflection.
In addition to the forum, the BHD Bank will develop in Fitur 2026 an agenda of multiple business meetings, aimed at facilitating and promote investments for the strengthening and development of Dominican tourism.
To do this, the entity will be present with a delegation headed by its president, Steven Puigreaffirming its commitment to the sustainable growth of the sector.
