A team of technicians and workers is working on the construction of the columns and they have already finished burying what will be the gas tank and another for water storage.
In total, 18 steel columns have been erected.

On May 22, 2019, in the morning hours, as a result of the collapse of the construction of a wall, Orlando Antonio Ferreira Espinal, 37 years old, was killed; Joan Cruz Duarte, 28; Dave Durical, 30; Ariel Arturo Jerez Rodríguez, 32; and Elvin Tamarez Torres.
The only survivor of the tragedy, Francisco Santos Díaz continues to present a sequel of physical damage with loss of vision in his right eye and last year they had to amputate one of his arms.
Santos Díaz, 53 years old, was buried by the collapse of a wall and the damage left behind, causing him to be practically unable to fend for himself and barely survives with the financial support of a brother.
The relatives of the worker denounce that so far he has not received the help promised by those who run the hotel.
The case is still in the courts of this jurisdiction.
As a result of the tragedy, the City Council of Santiago de los Caballeros decided to rescind the land use permits for the construction of said hotel in the area until the serious problem it represented for the mobilization of traffic in the monumental area was resolved. than with the collapse of a section of Calle Del Sol.
