The legislator of Peru Libre, Silvana Robles, withdrew the motion of censure that she had presented minutes before against the president of Congress, María del Carmen Alva, for the alleged statements against the Government of Pedro Castillo that she would have made during her meeting with Spanish legislators earlier this month.
The motion includes the testimonies of the Spanish deputies Antón Gómez Reina and Noemí Villagrasa on some statements by the head of Parliament that sought to delegitimize the government of Pedro Castillo.

In addition, it includes the statements of Víctor González Coello, who, although he has defended Alva Prieto for these accusations, indicated that the head of the Peruvian Congress had indicated that “some members of the Cabinet are linked to criminal, corrupt and terrorist acts.”
On this issue, María del Carmen Alva has indicated that she did not ask, at any time during her tour of Spain, that the parliamentarians of that country issue a statement against the administration of Castillo Terrones.
“It is totally false that I have requested any mention against the Government of President Castillo. That is inconceivable because we do not accept that anyone comes to tell us what policy we have to approve. We would never ask for an intervention from internationals on our national policy ”, said last Saturday to RPP.
During his official activities in Spain, Alva met with representatives of the Chamber of Deputies, in which congressmen Ernesto Bustamante (Popular Force) and Wilson Soto (Popular Action) also participated.
This is the second motion of censure that has been presented against Alva, because on December 13, Guillermo Bermejo, also from Peru Libre, presented a motion to separate the president of Congress under the same arguments. The request will be debated this Thursday. Admission to debate requires the favorable vote of the majority of able Congressmen.
