The plenary session of the Legislative Power approved the approach of the Board of Directors that, at the request of Alianza Para el Progreso, ordered the departure of Díaz from the special commission and the entry of Idelso García Correa in his replacement.
García will become the new president of the commission that, according to the schedule, will continue with the process of personal interviews with the applicants between August 3 and 4.
Likewise, they have scheduled that the members of the working group meet on August 5 to vote and elect the suitable candidates and thus begin the final stage of the process on August 8, when the final candidate proposal is presented to the plenary. to occupy the position at the head of the Ombudsman’s Office.
