The Secretary of Legal and Administrative of the Ministry of Economy, Ricardo Casal, highlighted this Thursday that satellite application technology will be used to identify those responsible for the fire source that left thousands of Argentines without electricity.
Casal specified that the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, instructed that the images of the geographic information system used in the rural sector be provided to the Campana Federal Court to verify if the area located below the lines were sources of fire.
Investigation
The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, decided to proceed with a complaint before the federal court “in order to investigate, prosecute and, if necessary, arrest” to those responsible for the fires that affected high voltage networks in Campanaepisodes about which he expressed his suspicions of “intentionality” and that determined the preventive cut of the electrical service in a large part of the country.
The complaint before the Federal Court of First Instance of Campana, in charge of Judge Adrián González Charvay, was presented by Massa, in his capacity as holder of the portfolio that has under his orbit the Ministry of Energy.
According to Casal, “what caused some concern is that the sources of fire that we saw in the video are very specificbelow the line of tension.
Likewise, he stressed that, by referring the complaint to the federal judge of First Instance of Campana, Massa “built a work team between Atucha, Cammesa and the Federal Police so that at a work table do the expertise and determine the causes as fast as possible”.
