The National Highways Institute (Invías) announced the temporary total closure of the Calarcá – Cajamarca road between km 5 + 000 and km 49 + 800, from 00:00 hours on Friday, November 19, and until 8:00 p.m. on November 22, 2021.

The reason for the closure is the final adjustments of the Cajamarca – Calarcá corridor due to the change in direction that the road will have with the commissioning of the project’s dual carriageway. Crossing the Central Cordillera.
Outside of this measure will be the members of emergency services, residents within the corridor and personnel who are working on the project.
To maintain the mobility of users, the entity proposes the different routes alternate:
1. Bogotá – Madrid – Facatativa – Villeta – Guaduas – Honda – Mariquita – Manizales- Pereira – Cartago – La Paila Or Divert In Manizales Towards Armenia – La Paila and continue your journey to your destination.
2. Bogotá – La Vega – Villeta – Guaduas – Honda – Mariquita – Manizales-Pereira – Cartago – La Paila Or Divert In Manizales Towards Armenia – La Paila and continue your journey to your destination.

3. For users who transit from the departments of Huila, Caqueta, Putumayo and south of Tolima, and who go to the southwest of the country, take the Ibagué – Mariquita – Manizales – Pereira – Cartago – La Paila road and continue their journey towards its destiny.
Four. Bogotá– Madrid – Los Alpes – Cambao – Armero – Mariquita – Manizales – Pereira – Cartago – La Paila – and continue your journey to your destination.

5. In the Los Alpes – Cambao – Armero – Mariquita sector, only light vehicles and public transport vehicles with a maximum capacity of 19 passengers may travel, for other vehicles, take the other alternate routes.
6. For users heading to the northwest of the country, they can reach Manizales by the routes indicated above.
