The Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) will host the last two days of the 34th Meeting of Ambassadors and Consuls (REC) 2023, next January.

The annual meetings of ambassadors and consuls bring together the entire Mexican diplomatic corps in a meeting that is traditionally inaugurated by the President of the Republic and attended by members of the cabinet to present the guidelines of the plans, programs and actions of the federal government during the next 12 months.

Through a memorandum, the members of the Mexican Foreign Service (SEM) were notified that for this occasion the REC will begin, as every year, at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, in Mexico City, but it will last two more days.

In this regard, you are informed that REC 2023 will be extended for two more days: Saturday, January 14, with a work day at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) attended by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and senior officials of the government; and on Sunday, January 15, when the work of the North American regional meeting will take place.says the document.

Dated December 2, the memorandum, signed by the Office Headquarters of the head of the SRE, indicates that REC 2023 will begin on Monday, January 9 at the SRE headquarters and that the complete program will be sent in due course to the EMS members.
