The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) completes the bureaucratic procedures to repatriate in the next few hours 385 undocumented Haitians who confronted the agents of that institution and the police with stones, who were forced to flee the operation set up in Cuidad Juan Bosch, in Santo Domingo Este.
The director of the entity, Enrique García, assured that jointly with tactical teams from the National Police and the Army of the Dominican Republic, the raids continue in search of other undocumented immigrants who are in said residence.
“The Dominican Republic will never give up its right to extract from its territory any foreigner who is in illegal status, no matter what country they come from,” he warned.

The official stressed that they have been in permanent contact with the Haitian Police to complete the repatriations effectively, guaranteeing respect for the human rights of each detained foreigner.
He revealed that criminals have been detected among the undocumented immigrants who stoned the Immigration agents when they were about to detain the undocumented Haitians who are in Cuidad Juan Bosch.
García affirmed that the operations to detain and deport undocumented immigrants who are in the Dominican Republic, regardless of their nationality, have intensified.
