Full of anger a patient who was not treated at the “Dr. Hugo Spadafora Franco”, in the province of Colón, sprayed pepper spray in the dentistry office, so the staff and patients had to be evacuated on the morning of this Wednesday, September 28.
This incident in the installation of the Social Security Fund (CSS), caused the service in the polyclinic to be suspended.
According to the authorities, the patient, who did not have an appointment for care at the dentistry service, threw the medical instruments and sprayed irritant gas (pepper) in the dentist’s office, angry at the doctor’s indication to wait for the extra shift.
The biosecurity protocol, together with the evacuation of patients and collaborators, was activated by the institutional occupational health and safety personnel.
After an evaluation by the security office of the Fire Department, care in the emergency room and support services (pharmacies, X-rays and laboratory) was reactivated, while appointments for general medicine and affected specialties will be rescheduled, reported the medical direction of the polyclinic.
