They will present cooperation between Venezuela and Caribbean nations in the Yellow House

The Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti, Lesly David, addressed the program coffee in the morning broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the cooperation of the nations that make up the Caribbean Community (Caricom) with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Venezuela’s relations with the Caribbean region are: “win-win”.

Regarding the Caribbean, “it was a good relationship based on the initiatives taken by Commander Chávez.” Proof of this is Petrocaribe, which “helped all the Caribbean countries. It was essential support. It was not a donation but an agreement. That helped us in the social part”.

He indicated that between June 26 and 30, the Caribbean Week in Venezuela will take place at the Casa Amarilla in Caracas, where “we will have a week to present everything we have in relations, and all the support that Venezuela gave to the Caribbean”.

The diplomat said: “We are ambassadors of a friendly country and the friendly country is going to celebrate with us.”

The diplomat stressed that in Caricom, “we have a foreign policy, we are focused on trade, and on transforming the population. Now we are working on the issue of common transport with Venezuela”.

The ambassador recalled the historical relationship between Venezuela and Haiti, from the support of General Alexandre Pétion, to the cause of Venezuelan independence.
