The Public Ministry appointed this Friday the 23rd National Prosecutor for Economic Crimes to investigate and apply the corresponding sanctions against agricultural producers who, unscrupulously, have discarded a large amount of food.
This was announced by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, who indicated through the social network Twitter that these actions seek to create anxiety in the population.
“The Public Ministry appoints the 23rd National Prosecutor for Economic Crimes to investigate and punish irregular acts related to a group of people who destroy large amounts of food trying to cause anxiety in the population and threaten the agri-food security of the people,” he wrote in the message. .
In recent days, videos have been broadcast on social networks where people are seen throwing bananas and tomatoes into the rivers, among other products, because they supposedly cannot distribute them in the markets.
