They will judge for terrorism 18 of the Tren del Llano

A total of 18 members of the Tren del Llano criminal organization, captured in Guárico, will be prosecuted for terrorism in a Caracas court, sources from the judicial system said. Such a decision was made by the 5th Court of Control of Guárico, San Juan de los Morros extension, where 24 detainees were presented last Saturday.

Judge Isbelia Hortelano observed that 18 of those 24 detainees have an arrest warrant from the 1st National Court of Control with Jurisdiction in cases related to Crimes Associated with Terrorism.

And because of this, he declined the file of that group before the aforementioned court whose headquarters are in the Palace of Justice of Caracas. The remaining six were sentenced to prison for the crimes charged by the Public Ministry, including extortion and association with organized crime groups.

The 18 will be charged for the alleged commission of the crimes of criminal association, illicit trafficking in weapons of war and terrorism, among others. These people were captured last week in six of the 15 municipalities of Guárico where the Tren del Llano organization operates.

In the midst of Operation Thunder, three sentry boxes (observation points) built by Tren del Llano near the Guanapito reservoir, Altagracia de Orituco, were detected and destroyed.

More detainees

In another procedure also carried out in Guárico, specifically in Valle de la Pascua, five women and two men were captured and will be prosecuted for terrorism, trafficking in firearms and ammunition.

Five double barrels of shotguns, 10 barrels of 16-gauge shotguns, eight wooden stocks, a high-range binocular equipment, 8 cell phones, 40 7.62×39 mm cartridges, an industrialized smoke grenade and a MD Hajin motorcycle.

Those captured are: María Fernández Silva Beroes, Elizabeth Silva Beroes, Katerin Dayana Morillo, Génesis Nazareht Tovar Arteaga, Dorimar Karlyn Rangel Ramírez and Yoimel Alexair Hurtado Infante.
