After announcing that from next October only the price of gasoline will rise, and not that of ACPM or vehicular gas, the Minister of Transportation, Guillermo Reyes, called on Colombians to migrate to the purchase of electric vehicles.
In this sense, he announced that in the tax reform that will begin its process in the coming days before the Congress of the Republic an article that grants more tax incentives will be included, both importers and buyers of this type of vehicle.
“With the rise in the price of a gallon of gasoline, an invitation is being made to Colombians to start migrating towards electric vehicles, We are going to establish in the tax reform additional benefits to those that currently exist,” said the minister.
He added that, the president has given the order that in all fuel stations they must commit to establishing filling stations“and we are betting on sustainable transport systems such as the metro or the tram”.
It is worth mentioning that, according to the Law 1964 of Electric Vehicles of July 11, 2019there is a list of tax benefits for both hybrid and electric vehicles and for their users, as incentives for their purchase and use.
