From April 1 to 3, the First National Meeting of Activists of Somos Venezuela will be held, as reported by Vanesa Montero, general secretary of the organization in a television program.
Montero stressed that Somos Venezuela “is a very young movement that brings together a lot of youth diversity, we are going to this National Meeting, which will be a growth platform to continue consolidating social care policies,” said Montero.
The goal is to consolidate the programmatic lines and approve the operating statutes.
He explained that the Movement carried out activities prior to the Meeting, such as “face to face with the people, which is listening to the proposals of our people, what does a Venezuelan think of how the Somos Venezuela movement should be.”
The Movement achieved 577 territorial activities, where they compiled proposals from women, peasants, businessmen and the middle class, “thanks to these proposals we can strengthen the Movement.”
For his part, Montero valued the vaccination policy of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, “the pandemic brought us together in homes, given that now we are all vaccinated by the system implemented by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro , now yes, meet again ”.
The second vice president of the National Assembly (AN) highlighted the feminist character of the Bolivarian Revolution, making women visible in the management of the revolutionary process.
Montero valued the advances in legislation in the protection of women’s rights with the Reform of the Organic Law on the Rights of Women Free of Violence.
She indicated that Parliament made progress in promoting gender inclusion language, the Family Protection Law and the Care System for Life Law, “this Law also protects caregivers.”
