After the constant blackouts and complaints from communities in the province of Veraguas due to lack of electricity supply, Kenedy López, manager of Naturgy for the central provinces, said that they are seeking to expand the electricity service in the Mariato district.
It was announced that the lines will be taken to the communities of Russia and the Philippines. He indicated that for the Mariato area a line built by the Ministry of Education was transferred, this will be managed by the company.
He said that the transfer was practically 20 kilometers and reaches the community of Mariato, in addition there is a second phase with which the communities of Cacao de Mariato will be relocated to this new line to improve the quality of supply that these customers currently have.
“It is a totally new network, which will benefit the community of Mariato, the Philippines, Russia and the end of Concepción de Veraguas,” he concluded.
