The 12th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) opened today at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

During the four-day meeting, members of the trade organization will engage in discussions on issues such as the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) waiver for COVID-19 vaccines. 19, the response to the pandemic, subsidies for fishing, agriculture, food security, as well as the reform of the WTO and its future work priorities.

Wang stressed that China will continue to safeguard the multilateral trading system with concrete actions and support the WTO reform to move in the right direction, adding that the WTO reform needs to strengthen its functions and promote economic globalization for the benefit of all. members.
