Trunk 9, a highway that connects Caracas with the eastern part of the country, will be closed between Friday, October 14 and Sunday, October 16, due to work to replace 50 meters of sewers, reported the Minister of Transportation, Ramon Velasquez Araguayan.
In a telephone conversation with Venezuelan Television (VTV), Velásquez Araguayán explained that the works will be carried out in the Punto Lindo sector, San Juan de Capistrano municipality, Anzoátegui state. The closure will be effective from 4:00 p.m. on Friday and will continue until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Ministry of Transportation, together with the Government of Anzoátegui, enabled a detour in the area, which will be done as follows:
- People traveling in the Caracas-East direction should turn off at Boca de Uchire along the main avenue, they will travel 32 kilometers until exiting at the Peñalver municipality.
- People traveling in the East-Caracas direction should turn off in front of the El Hatillo sector exit, taking the main avenue of Boca de Uchire in the Boca de Mora sector, and later merge onto Troncal 9.
