Santo Domingo. With the presence of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinaderthe Youth Ministry will celebrate this Tuesday the twenty-seventh edition of the National Youth Award to be held in Plaza España in the Colonial Zone on the occasion of National Youth Day.
The event will take place at 8 pm and will be broadcast on CERTV channel 4, in a ceremony that will be dedicated to “Creativity, Art and Culture”.
The coordinator of the National Youth Award, Luis Antonio Tejeda, said that this year an award has been organized with all the required height and transparency.
“Thank you for helping us restore credibility and also for helping us fulfill the intention and will of our President Luis Abinader,” Tejeda said with emotion.
Tejeda also thanked the Minister of Youth, Rafael Jesús Feliz García for the trust, the work of the juries and the support of the provincial authorities.
“The minister’s intention is to recover the transparency and prestige of the award,” added Tejeda.
A total of 212 young people were finalists after being evaluated by a high-level National Committee of Juries, who carefully evaluated each of the files to select the winners of the award that will be delivered this Tuesday.
The categories that will be awarded are: “Contributions to the Rural Community”, Contributions to Human Rights (Children, Adolescents and Youth)”, National Sports, “International Sports”, and Cultural Development”.
Also Business Development”, “Religious Leadership”, “Political Leadership”, School Student Merit”, and University Student Merit.
Likewise, “Preservation and Promotion of Natural Resources”, Achievements and Personal Improvement”, “Achievements and Professional Improvement, “Voluntary Social Services in Favor of the Community” and » Contributions to the Community abroad”.
On the occasion of National Youth Day, that institution will deposit a flower offering at the Altar of the Homeland at 9 in the morning and then a mass will be held at the First Cathedral of America.
Awards
This award ceremony, which will take place in the Plaza España in the Colonial Zone, will present the winners with a statuette of the award, recognition certificates, and a laptop.
Likewise, the National Youth Festival will be held for the first time in March in the Parque Iberoamericano, with the presentation of a varied program of offers, opportunities and enjoyment for families, as well as the expression and recreation of youth, with the presence of national and international artists and various novelties soon to be announced.
The National Youth Award aims to recognize and promote the young people of society who contribute every day to the sustainable development of the Dominican Republic.
Hence, the number of awards covers, in a macro way, all the areas of services that generate social changes. This is the greatest recognition that young Dominicans receive from the Dominican State.
