On the occasion of this celebration, the Minister of Culture, Giselle González, took a tour with her co-founders, Analida Galindo and Marilyn Attie, who gave her details of the work that the Foundation does, training young people at social risk in different areas.
González Villarrué praised the initiatives of its members and urged them to continue working with that passion and perseverance for young Panamanians.
Analida Galindo, co-director of the foundation, stressed that “these ten years have been a path of much learning. We started as an artistic program that has grown and we have become a more comprehensive program, attending to the needs of the community”.
It is incredible to see young people who arrive vulnerable and how they become professionals, as is the case of José Garrido and Jaime Ruíz, who are studying dance in Europe, and have had opportunities that they have been able to take advantage of, added Galindo.
In the month of May, the COCO dance company will represent Panama in three European festivals in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain.
