The IX edition of the Ciudad del Mar Alternative Music Festival, known as El Fiestón, will be held from June 30 to July 3 in Cienfuegos.
Organized by the Terry Theater, the EGREM and the Karamba Group, the event will offer shows with local artists who will interact with national guests, including the Will Campa, Pedrito Calvo, Charanga Latina, Adalberto Álvarez and La Aragón orchestras.
Ivette Cepeda, Alain Morales, William Vivanco, Buena Fe, Tumbao Pegado, Adrián Berazaín, Jotabarrioz, Mauricio Figueiral and the Brothers David and Ernesto Blanco, among other groups and soloists, will also participate.
The director of the Terry Theater, Miguel Cañellas Sueiras, said: “We are going to have four days, from Thursday July 30 to Sunday July 3, presentations in seven spaces in the city, including three from the Terry, two from the EGREM, as well as the Recinto Ferial from the Plaza de Actos and the Tropisur. The shows will start at 9:00 pm at the Terry and the last concert will start at 1:00 am at the Plaza de Actos”.
He also declared that they will dedicate a Pre-Festival to the University Student Federation (FEU) on the occasion of its centenary, as well as to young people in general. And that the Café-Terry space will maintain a program with artists from Cienfuegos and other localities such as Mejunje from Santa Clara and Teatro Los Elementos, from Cumanayagua.
The Festival is divided into theme nights, dedicated to a representation of the San Remo Music Awards 2021 finalists, Benny Moré and alternative and electronic music.
